Teaching high school students for nearly 20 years has been a privilege and passion. Beyond academics, I focus on helping students develop essential life skills—organization, time management, self-advocacy, and confidence. High school should be a training ground for life, where students learn to balance responsibilities, take ownership of their learning, and recognize their potential.
One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching is preparing students for life beyond high school. Whether it’s building strong study habits, managing deadlines, or navigating college and career transitions, my goal is to foster readiness and self-sufficiency. Advocating for themselves—emailing professors, seeking resources, or knowing when to ask for help—is a crucial step toward independence.
Beyond the classroom, I’m honored to be part of the Parents and Child Project, collaborating with a brilliant team dedicated to supporting students and families.
As a mom of five, life is a whirlwind of schedules, school projects, and the occasional missing shoe crisis. This daily balancing act fuels my passion for time management—both at home and in the classroom. Most days run on cold coffee and a to-do list, but there’s always room for what matters most: family, connection, and guiding students to believe they can do hard things.
