Infant and pregnancy loss

Losing a child is a unique grief—one the world often doesn’t have the tools or words to address. If you have experienced pregnancy or infant loss, often it is important to speak with a mental health provider who specializes in this very specific kind of grief. Parents are not only grieving following the loss, but also adjusting to what living is like without your living child or pregnancy. This takes time, and deep compassion. At The Parents and Children Project we have worked with women and families coping with pregnancy and infant loss for over two decades. The therapists who specialize in this area are also very upfront about their own histories of loss. We believe that this sort of transparency helps parents feel more comfortable in getting the care they need.
